Affordable Housing Complex at Durgapur

This residential complex is designed as a part of project under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – a mission of Housing for All by 2022 and got successfully sanctioned as the pioneer and only privately developed Affordable Housing Project (AHP) under PMAY in the state of West Bengal. 
The challenge of this project was not only design intervention but also financial cross subsidization, so that it fits the vision of affordability.
800 apartment units for economically weaker sections of the society is designed on a 5.75 acre land in Aero City, Durgapur where 16 dwelling units are arranged in 4 floors in such a manner that all units have sufficient daylight and cross ventilation. All the blocks are well connected by paved roads and walkways. Enough 2, 3 and 4 wheeler vehicle parking is provided to support livelihood of the target population. The central courtyard with a multipurpose hall and common facilities add value to life.
The Project Report has been approved by Government of India, construction work to start soon.
